Software effort estimation is the most vital tast in software development. Various models have been proposed for this purpose. This estimate is vital to win a contract, to allocatte appropriate resources, to schedule the process and above all, to finish the project within approximated budget and time. Various factors have been proposed in constructive cost model of cost estimation commonly known as COCOMO. These factors affect eact other apart from affecting the software effort. The quantification and comparison of interdependencies of these factors is the main task performed in this paper. Fuzzy inference system has been implemented in MATLAB to find the weights, which represents the strength of interconnections among various pairs of factors. Keywords
